Sanxiang Advanced Materials announced a delay to its 20,000tpy zirconium-hafnium series products project, pushing the date for reaching its intended usable state from September 30, 2026 to December 31, 2026. The company cited policy-related factors such as the approval timeline for construction procedures, as well as external conditions including northern China's climate.
The project is slated to receive RMB56.9186 million (USD8.50 million) in raised funds and will rely on advanced zirconium-hafnium separation and extraction purification processes to produce high-purity zirconium oxychloride and high-purity hafnium oxychloride.
As of the announcement date, construction of the company's zirconium-hafnium separation project has entered a critical phase, with core processes already undergoing commissioning.
