Australia slaps AD, CVD duties on flat-rolled steel from China, South Korea

Australia's Minister for Industry and Innovation and Minister for Science has approved final anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) recommendations from the Anti-Dumping Commission on imported flat-rolled steel products from China and South Korea.
Chinese exporters face AD duties of 16.1% for Baoshan Iron and Steel, 9.4% for Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel, 26.4% for Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel, and 51.2% for all other Chinese exporters.
South Korean exporters, excluding POSCO, face a 21.6% AD duty.
CVD rates for Chinese exporters are set at 2.7% for Baoshan Iron and Steel and 3.9% for all other exporters, excluding Baosteel Zhanjiang and Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel.
The products covered are classified under tariff codes 7208.40.00.39, 7208.51.00.40, 7208.52.00.41, 7208.90.00.30, 7225.40.00.22 and 7225.40.00.24.
