Metlen, a global industrial and energy company, plans to invest EUR 25 million to upgrade recycled aluminum operations at its Greek subsidiary EP.AL.ME by integrating automated sorting, processing, and melting equipment.
The initiative will equip EP.AL.ME to operate as a collection and pre-processing center capable of handling complex post-consumer scrap streams from end-of-life products.
Processed materials will then be transferred to Metlen's Aluminium of Greece facility to manufacture high-value goods, with the goal of achieving a total production increase exceeding 250,000 tons.
