Ningbo Shanshan to invest in anode material expansion

Ningbo Shanshan Co., Ltd. announced on September 22 that it plans to invest in a 150,000tpy integrated lithium-ion battery anode material production base in Inner Mongolia. The total investment is approximately RMB5.11 billion (USD762.23 million), including roughly RMB4.32 billion (USD644.09 million) in fixed-asset investment.
The project will be located in Inner Mongolia, with a construction period of 17 months. It is scheduled to break ground in March 2027 and be completed by July 2028. Once operational, it will establish an integrated annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes of lithium-ion battery anode materials, supported by 50,000 tonnes of graphitization capacity. The project will be funded through the company's self-raised and own funds.
