Xiamen Tungsten files arbitration against CMOC over tailings supply halt

Xiamen Tungsten announced on September 21 that it has filed an arbitration application with the Beijing Arbitration Commission against China Molybdenum (CMOC) for breaching the joint venture contract governing the establishment of Luoyang Yulu Mining Co., Ltd. The dispute stems from CMOC's halt of tailings supplies to Luoyang Yulu, which forced the joint venture to suspend all production. The arbitration claim is currently estimated at RMB116 million (USD17.32 million) in total, calculated as of August 31, 2026.
