Ganxin Mining secures mining license for Tawen Chahan iron polymetallic mine

Western Mining announced on September 21 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Qinghai Ganxin Mining Development Co., Ltd., recently obtained a mining license issued by the Qinghai Provincial Department of Natural Resources, completing the conversion from exploration to mining for the deposit. The mine is named the Golmud Tawen Chahan Iron Polymetallic Mine, with licensed minerals including iron, copper, gold, molybdenum, zinc, lead and silver. The license is valid from August 31, 2026 to August 30, 2043.
The Tawen Chahan mining area holds 36.9545 million tonnes of industrial iron ore resources at an average grade of 30% mFe, along with associated metals of 4 tonnes of gold, 10,950 tonnes of copper, 1,201 tonnes of lead, 29,092 tonnes of zinc, 407 tonnes of molybdenum and 770 kilograms of silver.
