Zhaotai Metal's intelligent thin steel sheet production line goes into operation

On September 18, the intelligent equipment upgrade and technical transformation project of Xinghua Zhaotai Metal Materials Co., Ltd. officially went into operation, filling a domestic gap in the wide-format thin-sheet sector.
The company has long been engaged in the processing and sales of plain carbon medium plate, low-alloy medium plate, and stainless steel medium plate and thin sheet. It operates multiple medium-plate rolling and cold-rolling lines, supported by an online monitoring and inspection system. The technical transformation project represents a total investment of about RMB520 million (USD77.64 million). Without adding the existing 150,000tpy steel rolling capacity, the project extends part of its medium and heavy plate output into precision-rolled thin sheet--shifting from capacity expansion to higher value-added processing. Once the new line reaches full production, the company is expected to pay an additional RMB22 million (USD3.28 million) in annual taxes.
