China's production of ten major nonferrous metals reached about 7.10 million tonnes in August 2026, up 1.6% YoY, and the output from January to August totaled 55.58 million tonnes, an increase of 2.9% from the same period last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to August, China produced about 31.12 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up 3.9% YoY, including 3.98 million tonnes or so in August, up 4.7% YoY.
