Shenhuo Group breaks ground on 50ktpy battery aluminum foil project

Henan Shenhuo Group held a groundbreaking ceremony on September 16 for its 50,000tpy high-performance aluminum foil project for sodium-ion batteries in the Shangqiu Demonstration Zone.
The project will build about 40,000 square meters of production workshops and an intelligent warehousing system. It will be equipped with three 1,850mm and three 2,150mm aluminum foil rolling mills, as well as slitting machines with integrated inspection functions, precision cutting machines, corona treaters and other internationally advanced equipment.
The project will mainly produce 1070 and 1100 alloy grades of aluminum foil, with thicknesses of 8 to 20 microns, for sodium-ion battery cathodes and anodes. Construction is scheduled to take 24 months. Once completed, it will create more than 300 jobs, generate about RMB120 million(USD17.91 million) in annual taxes and profits, and form an aluminum foil processing capacity of 165,000 tonnes.
