Major Chinese steel mills produced 17.94 million tonnes of finished steel during the first ten-day period September, with an average daily output of 1,794,000 tonnes, down 10.7% from late August, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 16.52 million tonnes, an increase of 2,700,000 tonnes, or 1.7%, from late August.
