Aya doubles Boumadine value to $3.5B

Aya Gold & Silver released an updated preliminary economic assessment for its Boumadine project in Morocco on Wednesday, extending the mine life to 14 years from 11.
The project, located about 340 km southeast of Rabat, already holds a mining licence and is progressing toward a feasibility study due in the second half of 2027. If developed, it would add a major new precious-metals operation to a Moroccan mining industry better known globally for phosphates and established silver production.
The expanded mine plan comes with lower grades, averaging 1.77 grams gold per tonne, 63.5 grams silver, 1.37% zinc and 0.58% lead over the mine life, down from 2.43 grams gold, 72.5 grams silver, 1.91% zinc and 0.70% lead in the 2025 study.
Boumadine is expected to produce 2.25 million oz. of gold, 81.2 million oz. of silver, 422,000 tonnes of zinc and 195,000 tonnes of lead over 14 years. Silver output rises 16% from the previous study, while gold production slips 4%.
According to a February resource estimate, the site contains 8.6 million indicated tonnes grading 1.93 grams gold per tonne, 121.7 grams silver, 2.19% zinc, 1.01% lead and 0.09% copper. Contained metal is estimated at 532,000 oz. of gold, 33.6 million oz. of silver, 188,000 tonnes of zinc, 87,000 tonnes of lead and 8,000 tonnes of copper.
There are also 45.4 million inferred tonnes grading 1.82 grams gold, 56.8 grams silver, 1.33% zinc, 0.58% lead and 0.08% copper. These contain 2.65 million oz. of gold, 82.8 million oz. of silver, 604,000 tonnes of zinc, 265,000 tonnes of lead and 35,000 tonnes of copper.
