The Potou Branch of the Zhanjiang Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau recently released the environmental impact assessment (EIA) for a smart upgrading and expansion project of 90,000tpy lithium battery anode materials by Juxin New Energy Co., Ltd. for public consultation.
Located in the Guandu Industrial Park in Potou District, Zhanjiang, the project involves adding new equipment and replacing existing units with higher capacity models. The upgrades will raise the purification capacity for spherical graphite from 30,000tpy to 50,000tpy. In addition, the company will add 30,000tpy of capacity for purifying recycled lithium battery anode materials, along with 10,000tpy of high carbon graphite purification. Downstream processes, including screening and magnetic separation, will also be expanded accordingly.
