India's JSW Steel Limited recorded consolidated crude steel production of 2.465 million metric tonnes in August 2026, representing a 3% increase compared with the same month last year, according to a company statement released on Monday, September 7.
Crude steel output from the company's domestic operations in India totalled 2.387 million metric tonnes during the period, up 4% year on year, the statement added. Capacity utilisation across its Indian mills averaged 88% in the month.
Meanwhile, JSW Steel's Ohio facility in the United States produced 78,000 metric tonnes of crude steel in August 2026, reflecting an 11% decline year on year.
