CATL signs deals to co-develop 400ktpy copper foil capacity

CATL entered into strategic cooperation agreements with Taijin New Energy and Shenzhen Huike New Materials Co., Ltd., among others, to jointly advance copper foil production. The partnership covers equipment procurement, capacity co construction, cost based pricing, joint R&D, and shared green electricity usage.
Under the agreement, CATL and two partners--including Huike New Materials--will collectively build new copper foil capacity of 400,000tpy over the next three years.
