Australia issues partial CVD and AD decisions on flat-rolled steel imports from China and South Korea

Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2026/102 on August 26, 2026, terminating countervailing duty (CVD) investigations into two Chinese flat-rolled steel producers-Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.-after determining that subsidy levels were de minimis.
In the same ruling, the authority also discontinued anti-dumping (AD) investigations concerning South Korean exporter POSCO, having found no evidence of dumping practices.
The investigations cover steel products classified under Australian customs codes 7208.40.00.39, 7208.51.00.40, 7208.52.00.41, 7208.90.00.30, 7225.40.00.22, and 7225.40.00.24.
Anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings remain active for other Chinese exporters, while AD investigations continue for shipments from South Korea.
