China makes major breakthrough in copper-gold exploration

China's latest round of strategic mineral exploration achieved a landmark success, with a significant breakthrough in copper-gold exploration in the Chating area of Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. The discovery is expected to give rise to a new large-scale copper-gold resource base in East China.
Located in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, the Chating copper-gold deposit is a recently identified prospect with super-large-scale potential. The deep-seated ore body has not yet been fully delineated, but the main mineralized zone currently outlined measures approximately 1.2km in length and 1.1 km in width.
Preliminary estimates indicate that the copper potential exceeds the equivalent of several large-scale copper deposits (each over 500,000 tonnes), while gold potential surpasses the equivalent of more than ten large gold deposits (each over 20 tonnes). Significant upside remains for further resource expansion as exploration continues.
