TCUD: Turkey's crude steel output and exports rise in Jan-Jul 2026, imports decline

In July 2026, Turkey's crude steel production increased by 7% year-on-year to 3.4 million metric tons, according to a statement released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). Over the first seven months of the year, the country's crude steel output rose by 7.9% to 23.18 million metric tons.
During the January–July period, Turkish billet production grew by 1% year-on-year to 13.78 million metric tons, while slab production surged by 19.9% to 9.39 million metric tons.
In the same timeframe, Turkey's finished steel production climbed by 5.6% year-on-year to 25.76 million metric tons, and finished steel consumption increased by 4.7% to 23.32 million metric tons.
