Major Chinese steel mills produced 19.15 million tonnes of finished steel in the second ten-day period of August, with an average daily output of 1,915,000 tonnes, up 5.3% from early August, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 18.33 million tonnes, an increase of 1,150,000 tonnes, or 6.7%, from ten days earlier.
