Fengyuan Carbon secures environmental approval for 170ktpy prebaked anode project

On August 24, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Shandong Province officially approved the Environmental Impact Report for Shandong Pingyin Fengyuan Carbon Co., Ltd.'s new intelligent baking production line, which will have a production capacity of 170,000tpy of prebaked anode.
The project, to be constructed at Fengyuan Carbon's new plant site, features a state of the art baking workshop equipped with a 66 chamber, 14 pot open type ring baking furnace. Supporting facilities include cleaning lines and advanced waste gas treatment systems, while utilities such as water supply, power, wastewater treatment and carbon block storage will leverage existing infrastructure currently under construction.
With a total investment of RMB228 million (USD33.91 million), the project allocates RMB30 million (USD4.46 million)– or 13.2% of the total – to environmental protection measures. Once operational, it is expected to produce 170,000tpy of prebaked anodes, reinforcing the company's commitment to intelligent and sustainable manufacturing.
