Ashapura Minechem revises FY27 bauxite target to 9-11 million tons amid operational variance

Ashapura Minechem has reported a 14.1% year-on-year increase in bauxite volumes for the first quarter of FY27, reaching 2.34 million metric tons. However, earnings were weighed down by elevated freight costs during the period.
In light of current operating conditions, the company has revised its full-year volume guidance for FY27 downward to 9–11 million tons, compared with its earlier projection of 10–12 million tons. Despite this adjustment, Ashapura maintained its FY28 target of 15 million tons.
On the infrastructure front, the company expanded handling capacity at its Boffa Port facility in Guinea to 8 million metric tons per annum, up from the previous capacity of 5 million metric tons per annum.
