Xinding Copper Source starts construction on 220ktpy low-oxygen copper rod project

On August 18, Qinghai Xinding Copper Source New Materials Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 220,000tpy low oxygen copper rod continuous casting and rolling production line at the Small and Medium Sized Entrepreneurship Park in the West Zone of the Ganhe Industrial Park, Qinghai Province.
The project represents a total investment of RMB300 million (USD44.49 million). It employs a proven and operationally stable shaft furnace melting and continuous rolling core process. Once operational, the facility is expected to achieve comprehensive energy consumption levels better than the industry benchmark, while consistently delivering high quality low oxygen copper rods tailored for applications in new energy, ultra-high-voltage transmission, premium magnet wire, and other advanced sectors.
