Nexa Resources S.A., one of the world's leading zinc producers, has announced its production results for the three-month period ended June 30, 2026.
Mining Operations
Zinc production reached 79 kt in Q2 2026, representing an 8% increase year-over-year, driven by higher ore grades, while remaining broadly stable on a sequential basis. Lead output rose by 2% both year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter to 15 kt. Copper production, however, declined by 31% year-over-year and 2% sequentially to 6.3 kt, reflecting lower head grades at the Cerro Lindo and Aripuan? operations.
Smelting Operations
Zinc metal and oxide production totaled 125 kt, down 10% year-over-year and 15% quarter-over-quarter. Sales volumes reached 134 kt, marking a 7% decline year-over-year and an 8% decline sequentially. These decreases primarily reflect the temporary suspension of activities at the Cajamarquilla smelter following the fire incident in May.
