EEC extends zero-duty regime on manganese ores and concentrates through September 2028

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board has approved a resolution maintaining a zero percent import customs duty rate on manganese ores and concentrates (HS code 2602 00 000 0) until August 31, 2028, inclusive, according to a statement from the EEC's trade division.

This decision effectively extends the existing duty-free treatment for an additional two years.

Manganese ores and concentrates serve as key feedstock for ferroalloy production within the metallurgical sector.

According to the EEC, the continued duty exemption "will support metallurgical enterprises across the Eurasian Economic Union by enhancing the utilization of production capacities, enabling the manufacture of higher-value-added products, and strengthening their competitive position in both domestic and export markets."
