Gaofeng New Materials' aluminum plate and foil project to goes into production

The 250,000tpy aluminum plate, strip and foil project undertaken by Chongqing Gaofeng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. reached a major construction milestone, with the main workshop structure now complete. Work is currently underway on rooftop skylight installation, as well as the fabrication, installation and foundation works for cold-rolling and cast-rolling equipment.
With a total investment of RMB5.2 billion (USD771.05 million), the project covers 230 mu (approximately 15.3 hectares) and will be rolled out in two phases. Phase I is designed for a capacity of 150,000tpy, while phase II will add a further 100,000tpy. The facility will integrate aluminum melting, cast-rolling, cold-rolling, heat treatment and finishing lines, alongside supporting utility and environmental protection infrastructure.
Phase I is scheduled to commence phased production by the end of August this year. Upon full ramp-up, it is expected to generate annual output value of approximately RMB3.5 billion (USD518.98 million) and create around 300 new jobs. When both phases are fully completed and operational, total annual output value is projected to reach RMB5.5 billion (USD815.53 million), with total new employment of about 400 positions.
