Australia imposes provisional anti-dumping duties on Chinese welded steel mesh sheets

On August 7, 2026, Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission issued a notice announcing a positive preliminary anti-dumping determination on certain welded steel mesh sheets imported from China.
Provisional anti-dumping duties, to be applied in the form of securities, will take effect from August 8, 2026. The preliminary duty rates are as follows: 29.6% for Beijing Xingtai Steel Weldmesh & Technology Development Co., Ltd.; 32.3% for Tianjin Tiankang Metal Products Co., Ltd.; 28.4% for Anhui BRC and Ma Steel Weldmesh Co., Ltd.; and 45.3% for all other Chinese exporters.
Meanwhile, investigations into imports of the subject merchandise from Malaysia will proceed, as the current evidence does not support an affirmative preliminary ruling.
The products subject to these measures fall under tariff codes 7314.20.00.24, 7314.31.00.37, 7314.39.00.38, 7217.10.00.39, 7217.10.00.40, 7217.20.00.41, and 7217.20.00.42.
