Malaysia's Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has initiated an expiry review of anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of pre-painted, painted, or color-coated steel coils originating in China and Vietnam.
The review follows an application filed by CSC Steel Sdn. Bhd., which argued that the revocation of these duties would likely lead to a recurrence of dumping and consequent injury to the domestic industry.
The investigation covers the review period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with a final determination due within 180 days from the date of initiation. Interested parties are required to submit written views, questionnaire responses, and other supporting documentation by August 17, 2026. Failing such submissions, the government will proceed with its final determinations based on available facts.
The products subject to the review fall under HS codes 7210.70.12 00, 7210.70.13 00, 7210.70.19 00, 7210.70.21 00, 7210.70.29 00, 7210.70.91 00, and 7210.70.99 00.
