Australia initiates anti-dumping expiry review on hollow structural sections from four countries

Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced the initiation of an expiry review of anti-dumping measures on imports of certain hollow structural sections from China, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan, with the current duties set to expire on July 3, 2027.
The review was initiated in response to applications filed by domestic producers Austube Mills Pty Ltd. and Orrcon Manufacturing Pty Ltd., and covers the review period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
The existing anti-dumping duties range from 9.4% to 48.3% for China, 13.8% for South Korea, 20.8% for Malaysia, and 23.5% for Taiwan.
The Antidumping Commission is expected to submit a recommendation to the Minister for Industry, Science and Technology based on the findings of the inquiry no later than January 5, 2027.
The products subject to the review are currently classified under Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00, 7306.61.00, 7306.69.00, and 7308.90.00.
