Turkey's crude steel output and exports rise in H1 2026

According to a statement from the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkey's crude steel production reached 3.29 million metric tonnes in June this year, marking a 14.7% year-on-year increase. In the first half of the year, total crude steel output grew by 8.1% to 19.77 million metric tonnes.
During the January–June period, billet production edged up 0.7% year-on-year to 11.73 million metric tonnes, while slab production surged 20.9% to 8.04 million metric tonnes.
In the same period, finished steel production rose 5.6% year-on-year to 21.94 million metric tonnes, while finished steel consumption increased 6.6% to 19.85 million metric tonnes.
