Hengyang Valin starts production at extra large diameter seamless pipe rolling mill project

On July 28, the commissioning ceremony for Hengyang Valin Steel Tube's extra large diameter continuous rolling mill project, alongside a signing ceremony for industry chain supply and demand cooperation, was held in Hengyang.
The project features the world's first and largest continuous rolling production line for extra large diameter seamless steel pipes, capable of rolling pipes up to 630 mm in outer diameter. With a total investment of RMB3.07 billion (USD453.33 million), the facility is designed to produce 800,000tpy of seamless steel pipes. The line was completed in just 18 months, setting a new record for construction speed among similar domestic production lines.
Once operating at full capacity, the project is expected to generate an additional RMB5 billion (USD738.33 million) in annual sales revenue, positioning Hengyang Steel as the world's largest single site seamless steel pipe production base.
