Imperial Metals has reported that the Red Chris Mine produced 17.92 million pounds (8,128 tonnes) of copper in the second quarter, representing a 24% decline compared to the same period last year.
Imperial holds a 30% interest in Red Chris, which translated into 5.38 million pounds of copper and 4,377 ounces of gold attributable to the company from the quarter's production.
Despite the quarterly downturn, Imperial has reaffirmed its 2026 production guidance for Red Chris on a 100% basis, projecting copper output between 60 and 66 million pounds and gold production ranging from 47,500 to 52,500 ounces.
The company continues to advance a Feasibility Study (FS) for a block cave expansion at the Red Chris operation.
Imperial has also secured key regulatory approvals, including endorsements from the Government of British Columbia and the Tahltan First Nation.
