Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission has launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into imports of steel flat bars originating from Taiwan, effective July 20, 2026. The probe was initiated following an application submitted by domestic producer Infrabuild NSW Pty Ltd, as detailed in Notice No. 2026/096.
The products under investigation are steel flat bars with widths exceeding 17 mm and up to and including 150 mm, and thicknesses of 4.75 mm or greater, regardless of alloy content. The subject goods fall under HS codes 7214.91.00.49, 7215.50.10.53, 7215.50.90.54, and 7228.30.90.41. The dumping investigation period covers April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, while the injury assessment period spans from April 1, 2022.
A Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) is expected to be issued by November 9, 2026, with the Commission scheduled to submit its final report to the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science by December 22, 2026.
