Argentina's Ministry of Economy has terminated anti-dumping (AD) duties on aluminum tubes imported from China, as per Resolution No. 883 issued on July 3, 2026. The decision concludes a sunset review and changed circumstances investigation that was initiated in November 2025.
The measure applies to aluminum tubes-whether unalloyed or made of 3xxx or 6xxx series aluminum alloys under IRAM Standard 681-with an outside diameter not exceeding 130 mm, including those supplied in coil form. Precision drawn tubing of the 3xxx series is exempt from this scope. The products are classified under Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff codes 7608.10.00 and 7608.20.90.
The original investigation began in May 2019 and resulted in the imposition of a 75.52% duty on Chinese imports in November 2020. The subsequent review examined dumping data from July 2024 to June 2025, along with injury data covering the period from January 2022 onward.
The termination of the duties takes effect immediately.
