India has extended the anti-dumping duty on seamless tubes, pipes, and hollow profiles of alloy and non-alloy steel imported from China until January 27, 2027, a government official said on Friday, July 10, citing an official notification. The duty was originally imposed on October 28, 2021, for a five-year period set to expire on October 27, 2026.
A notification issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes stated that the levy has now been extended to January 2027 to protect domestic producers from cheaper imports. The existing AD rates range between $961.33 per metric ton and $1,610.67 per metric ton.
The review applies to seamless tubes, pipes, and hollow profiles of iron, alloy, or non-alloy steel, with an external diameter not exceeding 355.6 mm. These products fall under tariff heading 7304.
