India's JSW Steel reports 3% rise in consolidated crude steel output in Q1 FY2026-27

JSW Steel Limited, India's leading steelmaker, achieved consolidated crude steel production of 6.59 million metric tons in the first quarter (April–June) of fiscal year 2026-27, marking a 3% increase over the same period last fiscal year, according to a company statement released on Friday, July 10.
Crude steel production from the company's Indian operations stood at 6.35 million metric tons during the quarter, also up 3% year-on-year. Capacity utilization for the Indian operations was approximately 94% during the quarter, excluding the capacity of Blast Furnace No.3 (BF3) at the Vijayanagar mill, which was taken offline for a capacity upgrade.
JSW Steel USA Ohio produced 0.24 million metric tons of crude steel in the April–June quarter of 2026-27, unchanged from the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
