Hoa Phat reports sharp gains in crude steel output and HRC sales in H1 2026

Vietnamese steel producer Hoa Phat Group has announced its sales results for the second quarter and first half of 2026.
In Q2, the company produced over 3.6 million metric tons of crude steel, up 48% year-on-year. Sales volumes of construction steel products, high-quality steel coils, hot-rolled coil (HRC), and steel billets reached 3.5 million metric tons, a 35% increase compared with the same period last year. Of this total, construction steel and high-quality steel coils accounted for 1.3 million metric tons, up 2% year-on-year. Hoa Phat Steel maintained its leading market share in Vietnam at 36%.
In the first half of 2026, Hoa Phat produced nearly 7 million metric tons of crude steel, a 36% year-on-year increase. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel, and steel billets totaled 6.5 million metric tons, up 32% year-on-year.
