Baotou Changaluminum Recycling Resources Utilization Co., Ltd has officially broken ground on its green circular economy demonstration project for secondary aluminum.
Located in the Hope Park of the Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou, the project occupies approximately 31 mu (about 2.07 hectares) and will feature a 6,400-square-meter recycling and shredding workshop along with auxiliary facilities. The site will be equipped with specialized production machinery including shredders, crushers, intelligent screening systems, balers, and briquetting presses. Construction is currently in the foundation stage, with completion expected by the end of November this year.
Centered on a finely processed scrap aluminum pretreatment process, the project will have a processing capacity of 70,000tpy of aluminum scrap upon completion. Leveraging existing twin-chamber furnaces and caster-rolling mills leased from Baotou Changaluminum North Aluminum, the facility is expected to produce 34,000tpy of molten aluminum and 66,000tpy of secondary aluminum cast-rolled coils.
