The Japanese government has approved the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duties on imports of nickel-based alloy stainless steel cold-rolled sheets and strips originating from Taiwan and China. The measure will take effect from July 9 to November 8, 2026, with the highest applicable duty rate reaching 42.1%.
According to Japanese authorities, the investigation revealed that the subject products were exported at prices 20% to 40% lower than those in the domestic Japanese market, causing material injury to the country's stainless steel industry.
