Measured mineral resources of Jiama Copper-Polymetallic Project increases

On June 30, China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. announced the completion of an updated mineral resource and reserve estimate for its Jiama Copper-Polymetallic Project in Tibet. The project's measured mineral resources surged from 100 million tonnes to 623 million tonnes, representing a 523% increase.
Total metal resources of the project have grown substantially. Compared with the 2012 resource estimate, combined measured and indicated resources now total 1.335 billion tonnes, with copper metal increasing by 3 million tonnes. Inferred resources stand at 454.7 million tonnes, with copper metal rising by 1.74 million tonnes. The updated measured mineral resources have an average copper grade of 0.69% and a copper-equivalent grade of 1.12%, while the updated inferred mineral resources average 0.65% copper and 1.09% copper-equivalent.
On the reserve front, total project reserves have risen from 440 million tonnes to 665 million tonnes, a 51% increase. Underground ore reserves have grown from 200 million tonnes in 2013 to 550 million tonnes; copper metal content has increased from 1.47 million tonnes to 5.2 million tonnes, while molybdenum has risen from 100,000 tonnes to 220,000 tonnes. The updated mineral reserves carry an average copper grade of 0.86% and a copper-equivalent grade of 1.40%.
The project currently maintains a stable milling capacity of 34,000 tonnes per day, with plans to return to its designed throughput of 50,000 tonnes per day in 2028.
