Fushun New Steel completes capacity replacement plan for blast furnace upgrade project

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Liaoning Province publicly confirmed the implementation of the capacity replacement plan for the blast furnace upgrade project at Fushun New Steel Co., Ltd., with an announcement issued on June 26.
According to the notice, the upgraded blast furnace project has now been completed. Following verification conducted by the Liaoning provincial department in coordination with relevant Fushun municipal authorities and professional agencies, the two newly constructed 1,400m3 blast furnaces have been found to fully comply with regulatory specifications. The construction location, enterprise name, and the type, quantity, and capacity of the completed smelting equipment are all consistent with the approved capacity replacement plan. The verification also confirmed that the five retired furnaces designated for capacity replacement--two 580m3 units, one 420m3 unit, and two 450m3 units--have all been dismantled and are no longer capable of resuming production.
