Wanchuang Carbon (formerly known as Wanda Carbon) officially ignited and commissioned its No. 1 baking furnace at the company's Liangshan facility on June 26, marking a major milestone in its bankruptcy restructuring.
The upgraded furnace is expected to create over 150 new jobs while restoring the company's prebaked anode production capacity to 200,000tpy. Operations will also stabilize the supply of key products including graphite electrodes. As part of the revitalization, Wanchuang has undertaken comprehensive upgrades across its raw material storage, calcining, forming, and baking units. Particular emphasis has been placed on modernizing the flue gas treatment system to ensure cleaner, more environmentally sustainable production practices.
