Construction officially commenced on June 13, 2026, for the 1,650,000tpy lead-zinc mining and processing expansion project at Chifeng NFC Baiyinnuer Mining Co., Ltd., a controlled subsidiary of NFC (China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd.). The project represents a total investment of RMB1.741 billion (USD257.68 million) and is scheduled for a construction period of three years, subject to actual progress on site.
Upon completion and commissioning, the expanded operation will significantly increase the mining and processing capacity of the Baiyinnuer lead-zinc mine, boost the company's overall mineral production output, and strengthen both its profitability and competitive position. The project aligns closely with NFC's strategic development objectives.
