US extends AD and CVD duties on imported PC strand from six nations

The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has extended its anti-dumping (AD) duty orders on prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from Brazil, India, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Thailand. In addition, a countervailing duty (CVD) order remains in effect for imports originating in India. These trade defense measures officially entered their continuation period as of June 2, 2026.
The USDOC determined that revoking these restrictions would likely lead to a recurrence of unfair dumping and countervailable subsidies, as well as consequent material injury to domestic manufacturers.
As a result, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will continue collecting cash deposits at the established rates on all incoming shipments of these products.
The products covered include both covered and uncovered non-stainless, non-galvanized steel strands used in prestressed concrete applications. These goods fall under HS codes 7312.10.3010 and 7312.10.3012.
