EEC recommends extending AD duties on China's stainless steel welded pipes

The Department for Internal Market Defence of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has issued its final disclosure regarding the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on stainless steel welded pipes originating in China.
The authority stated that revoking the existing AD measure would likely lead to a recurrence of dumping and consequent injury to the industries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Accordingly, it has proposed maintaining the AD duties for an additional five years.
The products subject to the review are welded pipes and hollow profiles made of corrosion-resistant (stainless) steel, with a wall thickness ranging from 0.4 mm to 6 mm inclusive. These products feature circular, rectangular, or square cross-sections and fall under HS codes 7306 40 2009, 7306 40 800 1, 7306 40 800 8, and 7306 61 1009.
Under the current AD duty regime, Foshan Vinmay Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. faces a duty rate of 14.62%, while Guangdong Sumwin New Material Group Co., Ltd. and other Chinese producers are subject to a rate of 17.28%.
