Xinlian Aluminum's alumina project breaks ground

A groundbreaking ceremony was recently held for the alumina project of Inner Mongolia Xinlian Aluminum Co., Ltd., which is contracted by China Huaye Group Company Limited.
Developed with investment from Xinhua Metallurgical Holding Group Co., Ltd., the alumina production base carries a total investment of RMB10.72 billion (USD1.59 billion). Upon full completion, the facility is designed for an annual alumina output of 7 million tonnes, projected to generate RMB42 billion (USD6.21 billion) in annual industrial output value and create roughly 600 new jobs.
Serving as a landmark project for China Huaye to expand its footprint in industrial engineering as well as new energy and advanced materials, the development will help the contractor broaden regional market reach and fuel local industrial transformation and upgrading.
