JSW Steel begins construction on new steel plant in Odisha

The JSW Group has started building the blast furnace for its new integrated steel plant in Paradeep, located in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district. The project is being developed by subsidiary JSW Utkal Steel Limited and spans 2,950 acres of coastal land, offering strong port connectivity and robust logistics infrastructure for both domestic and international markets.
The integrated facility entails an estimated investment of approximately Rs 65,000 crore. JSW Utkal will develop the plant in phases, ultimately reaching a final crude steel capacity of 13.2 million tonnes per annum. The initial phase is designed to have a capacity of 5 million tonnes.
