Baotou Steel develops high-grade rebar for rock bolts

Inner Mongolia BaoTou Steel Union Co., Ltd. has launched two types of hot-rolled ribbed rebar for rock bolts. Featuring high strength, high toughness and superior reliability, the products are tailor-made for roadway support in deep mining and complex geological conditions, filling the local supply gap of high-end mining steel.
Classified as precision threaded rebar, the new products look similar to standard rebar but deliver fully upgraded dimensional accuracy and connection compatibility. They can be directly applied to mine construction and expressway slope anchorage without secondary machining, greatly boosting construction efficiency and support stability.
Having completed R&D, pilot tests and small-batch verification, the products are now in mass production with a total output exceeding 20,000 tons. They have been delivered to major coal-producing regions including Inner Mongolia, Shanxi and Ningxia, with stable supply channels established.
Meanwhile, the company's technology center has advanced second-party certification for rock bolt steel and low-carbon hot-rolled wire rods for coal mines. The products have passed official assessment and been included in the supply chain of a major domestic coal enterprise, laying a solid foundation for further expansion in the high-end market.
