Xinxing Cathay develops 125ksi super duplex stainless steel pipes

Xinxing Cathay International Group Co., Ltd. has completed full-process trial production and performance verification of self-developed 125ksi-S32750 super duplex stainless steel pipes, which have also been granted a national invention patent. Adopting China's exclusive integrated production process combining extrusion, solution treatment and cold rolling, the product fills the technical gap in manufacturing high-grade heavy-wall mechanical pipes of super duplex stainless steel, marking independent technological control in China's high-end special stainless steel pipe sector.
For a long time, the 125ksi-grade S32750 pipes impose extremely strict requirements on process precision, microstructure stability and wall thickness uniformity. Domestic mass production capacity was limited, and such high-end products relied heavily on imports, becoming a bottleneck hindering the industrial upgrading of marine engineering, oil and gas equipment, high-end chemical and other key sectors.
Supported by the proprietary manufacturing technology, the newly developed 125ksi-S32750 products are now ready for stable mass production with qualified performance. Featuring high chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content, the material boasts outstanding mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, and is well suited for harsh service environments with chloride ions, sulfides and other corrosive substances.
