Ukraine launches anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled bars from China

Certain types of hot-rolled bars originating from China are now under an anti-dumping (AD) investigation in Ukraine. The probe was initiated at the request of domestic manufacturers and took effect on May 26, 2026, following the publication of Resolution No. AD-602/2026/441-01 by the Ministry of Economy. The authorities have set the official investigation period to cover data from 2022 through October 2025.
The investigation applies to non-alloy carbon steel bars with a diameter of 5 mm to 14 mm, as well as other alloy steel bars ranging from 5 mm to 32 mm. Exempted from the probe are welding wire rods and high-speed steel bars.
Under Ukraine's customs tariff system, the affected products are classified under the following HS codes: 7213 91 10 00, 7213 91 41 00, 7213 91 49 00, 7213 91 70 00, 7213 91 90 00, 7227 20 00 00, 7227 90 10 00, 7227 90 50 00, and 7227 90 95 00.
