  • Australia launches AD investigation into galvanized steel from South Korea and Vietnam

    Australia's BlueScope Steel Limited initially lodged an application for an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into zinc-coated (galvanized) steel from South Korea and Vietnam on April 30, but withdrew it on May 22.Asian Metal Copyright5 mm inclusive, of any width, in either coil or sheet form.Asian Metal Copyright The company has now submitted a new application seeking to restart the investigation.

    According to the Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC), BlueScope claims that galvanized steel from South Korea and Vietnam has been sold into the Australian market at lower prices, and that this dumping has caused material injury to Australia's domestic steel industry.
