Qarmet advances steel expansion with new rolling mill in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan-based steelmaker Qarmet has begun construction on a new rolling mill at its Temirtau site, following the installation of the first metal support structure.
The new facility will have an annual capacity of over 540,000 tons and will produce A600 and A1000 high-strength rebar, along with angle steel, channel steel, and other products for both domestic and export markets.
According to Qarmet, the investment will support technological upgrades, improve operational efficiency, and expand the company's portfolio of high-value steel products.
